Coach outing to Haworth, Yorkshire -  and the Bronte trail.

Wednesday - 10th June 2009  (Time TBA)

Haworth, West Yorkshire - Most famous as home to the Bronte family, Haworth (not Howarth as it is commonly misspelt) has long attracted visitors to its narrow, cobbled streets.

These days, the village is almost exclusively geared towards tourism, and most of the shops along the main street are tourist-oriented.

Reverend Patrick Bronte, father of the famous sisters was vicar of Haworth's St Michael and All Angels church.  It was here that the family worshipped, and a plaque on the wall commemorates the family, who are, with the exception of Anne Bronte who was buried in Scarborough, buried in the crypt below the church.
